How renting a venue works

From the search to the event. The rent goes straight to the owner, Bóka Sal takes no cut of it.

1. You

   Search

   You search by region, guest count and date. No account needed.

2. You

   The request

   You pick the date and time and tell the owner about the event. Not binding. You get a booking number at once and an e-mail with a link to your booking page.

3. The owner

   The answer

   The owner accepts, declines or sends a quote you accept in one click. Once accepted the date is held. Questions go back and forth on your booking page.

4. You

   Payment, straight to the owner

   The answer carries the owner's payment details: account number, and the amount and kennitala where known. Transfer with the booking number as the reference and press "I have paid". If the owner has no account number on file, you settle payment with them directly.

5. The owner

   Confirmation

   When the payment has arrived the owner confirms it, and you get the confirmation by e-mail. Without a transfer the booking is confirmed as soon as the owner accepts.

6. You

   The event

   Afterwards you are invited to review the venue, once the booking has been confirmed.
