Tips for owners
Small things make the difference between a listing that gets requests and one that gets scrolled past. Here are six tips that take a moment and pay off.
- 1
Lead with your best photo
The first photo is the cover and shows up in search. A bright landscape photo of the venue itself works best. Order the photos so they tell the story: the venue, the facilities, the details.
- 2
Keep prices clear
Enter prices including VAT for the options you offer: hourly, full-day and weekend rates where they apply. Customers compare venues, and clear prices bring more requests.
- 3
Describe the venue like you are showing it
Cover the atmosphere and the facilities: tables and chairs, sound system, accessibility and parking. A good description answers the main questions up front.
- 4
Reply to requests quickly
Many customers ask more than one venue, and the first to reply is often the one that gets picked. A same-day reply, even a short one, turns into more bookings.
- 5
Keep the calendar correct
Block dates that are booked elsewhere. A correct calendar prevents clashes and requests you would otherwise have to decline.
- 6
Ask happy customers for a review
Reviews build trust and help the next customer choose. A short message after a successful event is usually all it takes.
