The owner replies directly with a confirmation or a quote, each venue’s response time is shown on its page, and many reply the same day. Some venues confirm instantly.
Confirm and celebrate
Once confirmed, the date is locked in the venue calendar. You pay the owner directly. Bóka Sal takes no cut of the rent.

The calendar runs itself
Confirmed bookings close the dates automatically, and the calendar syncs with Google or Outlook.
You stay in control
Your prices, your terms, and the rent goes directly to you. A paid plan adds visibility and tools like calendar sync. No lock-in.
For service providers
Caterers, chefs, waiting staff, decorators, sound engineers and everyone else who works around events can join the Bóka Sal services directory and be seen by people planning an event. Registration is free, paid tiers rank higher and requests for extra services are forwarded to paid providers.

How does the payment work?
The rent is paid directly to the venue owner, as agreed between the two of you. Bóka Sal does not process rental payments and takes no commission on the rent.
What happens after I send a request?
The owner receives your request instantly and replies to you directly with a confirmation or a quote. The answer arrives by e-mail. Many reply the same day and some venues confirm instantly. The request is non-binding.
How do I change or cancel a request?
The confirmation e-mail contains a link to your page, where you can message the owner or withdraw the request. Once a booking is confirmed, you agree changes and cancellations directly with the owner.
Do the prices include VAT?
Yes, all prices shown on Bóka Sal include VAT. Prices come from the owners and are indicative. The owner confirms the final amount.
What does it cost to list a venue?
Three plans are available: the Teiti plan, which is free, the Veisla plan at 5,900 kr. per month per venue and the Hátíð plan at 14,900 kr. per month, both incl. VAT. No lock-in, and rent never passes through Bóka Sal.
How do reviews work?
After a confirmed booking you receive an e-mail with a link to review the venue. Only people who have booked through Bóka Sal can write a review, and every review is checked before it is published.
